Details of the Job/Internship

DNV is looking for candidates for the post of Contract Advisor for their Mumbai office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate deviations from DNV standard templates, as well as customer terms and conditions for compliance with DNV preferred contracting position.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to provide guidance on the interpretation and application of standard DNV contracts as well as customer contracts.
• Identify commercial risks and ensure that they are communicated to and understood by stakeholders within the business.
• Act as a liaison between the business and customers in contract negotiations, including direct negotiations with customer stakeholders.
• Provide support, advice, and solutions to the project team on contractual matters.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, and build positive working relationships.

Eligibility

• Bachelors degree in law, business, paralegal qualification or relevant area is preferred but not mandatory.
• In lieu of a degree, at least (3) years experience in contract review, revision & negotiation.
• Experience in contract drafting and negotiation, including an in-depth understanding of contract provisions.
• Experience and/or demonstrably strong interest in the key industries DNV operates, especially pertaining to maritime, assurance, sustainability and ESG services would be an advantage.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required, both domestic and international
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Professional proficiency in any other commonly used business language in the region is considered an advantage, but not mandatory.
