ASIAN is hiring for the position of Contract Manager with 5-10 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Client Communication & Coordination: Serving as the primary point of contact for all contractual matters with clients. You will ensure the effective and timely resolution of client queries during both the pre-bid and post-award phases of projects.
- Contract Drafting & Review: Independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of critical agreements, including Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), EPC agreements, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Framework agreements, and Acquisitions agreements. This includes ensuring full compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Pre-Bid & Proposal Stage Support: Actively addressing contractual queries that arise during the pre-bid stage, coordinating closely with internal teams. This involves evaluating and negotiating contract terms to align with client requirements and providing strategic guidance during proposal preparation.
- Post-Award & O&M Stage Support: Managing contractual queries, additional claims, and requests for extension of time during the project execution phase, in close collaboration with internal teams. You will provide strategic guidance to ensure adherence to contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Proactively identifying and mitigating potential contractual risks, working in conjunction with legal and project teams. You will ensure that all contracts strictly adhere to organizational policies and industry best practices.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with various internal teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to support successful project delivery. You will facilitate seamless communication among clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining a well-organized repository of all contracts and related documents. This includes preparing periodic reports on contractual milestones and potential risk exposure, and continuously updating the database of necessary licenses, permits, and certifications to assure ongoing compliance.
- Claim Management: Taking ownership of the preparation, negotiation, and settlement of claims related to Extension of Time (EOT), scope changes, and additional entitlements.
Eligibility
- Educational Background: A B. Tech + MBA is required. An LLB (Bachelor of Legislative Law) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in contract management, with a strong and proven focus on projects within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Mining, and O&M sectors. You should have a demonstrated track record in drafting, vetting, and negotiating a variety of contracts, NDAs, and MoUs.
