Falcon Legal is hiring a Contract Manager with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Thane.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contract management and administration of projects.
- Submission of requests for extension of time/delay analysis to ensure waiver of LD.
- Manage variations and extra work claims, including preparation of submissions and claim computation in consultation with the project team, and follow up for approval of variations.
- Correspond with client/consultant to avoid liabilities or recoveries.
- Take up contractual issues with the client and attend meetings to find resolutions.
- Manage and reconcile legacy projects, debt collection, dispute/claims resolution, and project closure.
- Assist legal in initiation of dispute recourse and provide inputs to legal counsel for arbitration and other legal issues of the projects.
- Prepare statements of claims, rejoinders, and oral submissions.
- Review tender documents to understand contractual risks, discuss and seek suitable changes in COC from client, and highlight contractual risks/mitigation measures during tender review meetings. Ensure signing of sound contracts upon award.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize MoUs for consortium/joint venture or nominated subcontractor agreements with partners as required during bid stage or post-award.
- Guide project managers, contract engineers, and planning managers on contractual obligations to protect the company’s interests.
- Handle subcontract-related legal issues.
- Maintain and monitor Contracts MIS.
Eligibility
- Education: BE/B Tech + PMP/NICMAR/LLB.
- 10+ years of experience.
- Acquaintance with Indian Contracts Act, Indian Arbitration & Conciliation Act, FIDIC, etc.
- Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract of Oil & Gas PSUs.
- Strong communication skills for contractual correspondence.
- Contract reading and interpretation skills.
- Logical approach.
- Team player.
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of MSP for construction schedule analysis.
Salary/Stipend
