Details of the Job/Internship

Hitachi Energy is hiring a Contract Manager in India with 7+ years of experience in contract management for large-scale projects (power, oil & gas, industrial, infrastructure).

Role and Responsibilities

• Maintain a repository of project contracts and related documents
• Study contract documents, identify obligations, and assist project management
• Map obligations and track contractual compliance
• Ensure timely invoicing and payment tracking
• Support teams in contractual disputes, claims, and risk mitigation
• Conduct training sessions on risks, contract management, and compliance policies
• Advise the business on contractual and transactional risks
• Ensure compliance with contract lifecycle management systems
• Align with key stakeholders and manage risk strategies effectively

Eligibility

• Law degree with minimum 7 years of experience as a Legal Counsel or Contract Manager
• Experience in handling large-scale projects (power, oil & gas, industrial, infrastructure, etc.)
• Strong background in contract negotiation, change management, and claims handling
• Experience working with international teams and contractual partners preferred
• Excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment
• Proficiency in spoken & written English.
