Details of the Job/Internship
Lactalis is hiring a Contracts Manager / Senior Manager – Legal & Contracts with 8–12 years of experience to oversee, draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure clarity, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Independently manage diverse agreements, including B2B, rental, logistics, warehouse, supply, service, manpower, NDAs, authorizations, and termination notices.
- Lead negotiations with vendors, service providers, and external stakeholders to secure favorable terms.
- Coordinate approvals, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Oversee the complete contract lifecycle from initiation to renewal or termination.
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and track renewals, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
- Implement and manage CLM tools, digital signing systems, and reporting mechanisms.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, and other teams for inputs and alignment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external parties on contract-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with Indian laws, dairy industry regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks and escalate high-risk issues when required.
- Support dispute resolution and act as liaison between internal teams and counterparties.
- Prepare dashboards and periodic reports on contract performance and compliance.
- Continuously improve contract management systems, templates, and negotiation processes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
- 8–12 years of contract management experience, preferably in FMCG, airy, or food sectors.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial agreements, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to independently draft, negotiate, and finalize complex contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; familiarity with CLM tools is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and recommend solutions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, maintaining nfidentiality and professionalism.
- High integrity, accountability, and strong work ethic.
