Details of the Job/Internship

Royal Land & Developers is hiring a Contract Manager with experience of 8–10 years to join their office in Chennai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and negotiate engineering and construction contracts, sub-contracts, technical agreements, and service agreements.
• Ensure scope of work, technical specifications, schedules, payment terms, risk allocation, and liabilities align with company standards.
• Maintain a central contract register, including amendments, variations, and renewals.
• Assist engineering and procurement teams in preparing tender documents, RFQs, and RFPs for contractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Evaluate technical and commercial bids, lead negotiations, and recommend contract awards.
• Manage variations and change orders, including review of scope changes and claims for time and cost.
• Prepare, submit, and respond to contractual claims in coordination with project and engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks, maintain a risk register, and advise on mitigation.
• Support dispute resolution with engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Act as the primary contractual interface between engineering teams and external parties.
• Attend site and engineering meetings to monitor progress and ensure execution as per contract.
• Liaise with design and site engineers on technical clarifications and non-conformities.
• Provide monthly reports on commercial status, cost-to-complete, claims, and key risks.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of correspondence, notices, instructions, and claims.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction/Project Management, or equivalent.
• Preferred qualification: B.E. Civil.
• Certification in contract management preferred.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience.
