Details of the Job/Internship
Tenneco is hiring a Contract Manager with 7+ years of experience to join their legal department in Gurgaon.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide timely legal support for commercial matters including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), SaaS licenses, and hardware purchasing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts by applying existing playbooks and creating non-standard terms when required.
- Support Procurement teams in the selection and application of appropriate contract templates for direct materials purchasing.
- Identify and summarize relevant terms and conditions for business colleagues to ensure clear understanding of contractual risks.
- Collaborate with the global law department to build and refine contract templates, playbooks, and internal workflows.
- Participate in negotiations for proposed agreements under the supervision of jurisdiction-specific counsel.
- Manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring organizational protection
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law with 7+ years of experience as a commercial contract attorney.
- Mandatory: Secondary legal training (e.g., LLM or equivalent) from a UK or U.S. law school.
- Strong analytical and drafting skills with the ability to advise business partners directly.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial approach to understanding complex business requirements.
- Availability to work flexible hours to coordinate with U.S.-based legal team members.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
