Details of the Job/Internship

HPE is seeking a Contract Negotiator with 2–5 years of experience to join their Bangalore team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end contracting process for sales transactions, prioritizing deal support for sales leaders.
• Draft and negotiate non-standard contractual language using company templates and custom responses.
• Interface with customers and internal Legal/Finance teams to resolve negotiation bottlenecks.
• Analyze business, financial, and legal risks, proposing creative mitigation strategies for key deal points.
• Ensure all contracts comply with audit and financial requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
• Resolve post-execution contract modification requests and minor disputes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with global legal colleagues and business owners.
• Present and escalate complex legal or contract management issues to senior leadership effectively.

Eligibility

• First-level university degree (LL.B. or equivalent degree is highly preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in customer-facing contracts, negotiations, or a similar legal/commercial role.
• Intermediate knowledge of laws and practices applicable to technology contracts and SaaS offerings.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills with the ability to handle low-to-medium risk customer presentations.
• Solid understanding of technology products and service capabilities.
• Ability to work in a Hybrid model (average 2 days per week from the Bengaluru office).
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret complex corporate policies.
