Details of the Job/Internship

Stantec is hiring a Contract Review Lawyer to join its team in Pune. The role involves reviewing and managing client-facing and supplier contracts, supporting contract governance, and assisting with negotiations to reduce company liability or cost. The position is full-time, with no travel required, and includes comprehensive training and support on Stantec’s contract standards and processes.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assisting and participating in the review of bespoke contracts with clients, sub-consultants, and suppliers.
• Identifying and assessing contractual risks.
• Supporting contract governance during drafting, negotiation, execution, and archiving of contracts.
• Reviewing completed documents for final execution and ensuring proper sign-off and storage.
• Managing updates and modifications to contract documents.
• Issuing letters of reliance and collateral warranties.
• Supporting confidentiality agreements, contract novations, and supplier contracts.
• Issuing documents through DocuSign or similar online signing platforms.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and third parties.
• Supporting the maintenance and updating of legal and contract templates.

Eligibility

• Understanding of contracts and ability to handle large volumes of documents and attachments.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify errors.
• Ability to work with stakeholders at varying seniority levels, including internal teams and external partners.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritise work.
• Proficiency in using the internet as a research resource.
• Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and independently.
