Levi Strauss & Co. is hiring a Contract Specialist with experience of 5+ years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate LOIs, Lease Agreements, Leave and License Agreements, and CAM agreements for retail stores.
- Manage amendments, side letters, and related retail property documentation.
- Coordinate property due diligence, stamp duty, registration, and compliance with external law firms.
- Review landlord and mall management drafts to ensure alignment with internal standards and legal requirements.
- Advise stakeholders on contract obligations, renewals, extensions, modifications, and closures.
- Draft termination letters and coordinate store-level settlements.
- Handle co-working space agreements for offices.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes impacting the retail sector.
- Conduct first-level review of commercial contracts, including franchise, distribution, MSAs, and SOWs.
- Deliver internal training on contract processes and legal policies.
- Manage real estate litigation, consumer complaints, and notices before authorities.
- Provide legal inputs for negotiations and dispute management.
- Draft and manage South Asia distribution agreements and support IPR and brand protection documentation.
- Partner with internal and global teams to support store operations and improve contract management processes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a reputed institution.
- 5+ years of experience in real estate legal contracts and commercial legal matters.
- Strong knowledge of Indian property laws, contract law, commercial laws, consumer laws, and real estate regulations.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and with external counsel.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management tools is preferred.
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Salary/Stipend
