Details of the Job/Internship
Zelis is hiring a Contract Specialist with 5–8 years of experience to join their office in Hyderabad. The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating various contracts, managing contract workflows, ensuring compliance with regulations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts including MSAs, SOWs, EULAs, NDAs, BAAs, order forms and amendments.
- Analyse existing contracts to identify key obligations and risks.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance and risk teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Coordinate contract approval workflows and internal sign-offs.
- Facilitate contract execution using e-signature platforms.
- Use CLM tools to track contract status, obligations and renewals.
- Support renewals, extensions and amendments.
- Understand compliance clauses relating to data privacy, cybersecurity and healthcare regulations.
- Partner with technology, business, legal, infosec and data privacy teams.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate contract records and audit trails.
Eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, law or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in vendor contract drafting and negotiation in legal or procurement departments, preferably in services, fintech or healthcare sectors serving the U.S. and India.
- Proficiency in Contract Lifecycle Management tools and workflow portals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, procurement software and ERP systems.
- Experience with e-signature tools.
- Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Preferred: Experience in global procurement, understanding of sourcing categories and familiarity with fintech and healthcare compliance.
