Details of the Job/Internship
Zelis is hiring a candidate with 5–8 years of experience in vendor contract drafting and negotiation to support their contracting and procurement operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts including MSAs, SOWs, EULAs, NDAs, BAAs, order forms and amendments.
- Analyze existing contracts to identify key terms, obligations and risks.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance and risk teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Coordinate contract approval workflows and obtain required internal approvals.
- Facilitate contract execution using e-signature platforms such as DocuSign or Adobe Sign.
- Use Contract Lifecycle Management tools to track contract status, obligations and renewals.
- Support contract renewals, extensions and amendments.
- Understand clauses related to data privacy, cybersecurity and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and PCI-DSS.
- Partner with technology, business, legal, infosec and data privacy teams.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Maintain accurate contract records and audit trails.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in vendor contract drafting and negotiation in legal or procurement departments, preferably in services, fintech or healthcare sectors supporting the U.S. and India.
- Proficiency in CLM tools, ticketing/workflow portals, MS Office and procurement software such as Workday ERP, SAP, Oracle or Coupa.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
- Experience with e-signature tools including DocuSign or Adobe Sign.
- Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Experience in global procurement or legal support, understanding sourcing categories and familiarity with fintech and healthcare compliance is preferred.
