Details of the Job/Internship

Cargill is hiring a Contracts Lawyer with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram. The role involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating moderately complex commercial contracts; using established templates, playbooks, and processes; negotiating third-party contracts; tracking legal matters; and partnering with business teams, lawyers, and paralegals on a broad range of commercial agreements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the law team and clients on moderately complex commercial transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate global commercial contracts, primarily procurement agreements.
• Work on additional contract categories, including IP, transportation, warehousing, consulting, distribution, external manufacturing, sales, IT, and licensing agreements.
• Provide leadership and support in assigned contract categories, including templates, playbooks, and quality control.
• Use systems for workflow management and tracking legal matters.
• Support template and playbook oversight and customer experience for assigned contract areas.
• Assist with special projects.
• Pursue professional development aligned with global contracts group priorities.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and escalate only complex issues.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Exposure to global commercial contracts.
• Experience in contract management, including drafting, negotiation, and administration.
• Prior experience in a corporate or law firm contracts-related role.
• Preferred: Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and related technologies.
• Preferred: Ability to identify, evaluate, and address legal risks.

Salary/Stipend
