Details of the Job/Internship

Elsevier is hiring a Contracts Manager – Commercial Legal with relevant experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to join their office in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Prioritise and manage workload under tight schedules.
• Prepare, amend, and format high-quality legal documents, reports, letters, and presentations.
• Use Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare documentation.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of legal terminology and summarise legal documents.
• Draft and prepare legal documentation using standard templates and draft contractual provisions under guidance.
• Proofread legal documents for consistency, accuracy, grammar, formatting, and logical structure.
• Review clauses across templates and update templates when required.
• Handle and complete one-off legal projects as assigned.

Eligibility

• Experience working in a legal team, either in a law firm or in-house.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to convey legal information clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Experience working with software, systems, or applications is preferred.
• Experience with commercial contracts is an advantage.
