Cognizant is hiring a Senior Manager – Legal for its Global Alliance and Procurement team in Bangalore Urban.
Role and Responsibilities
- Partner with business units to create contractual frameworks supporting Cognizant’s operations.
- Draft, vet, and negotiate global contracts including software license/subscription agreements, teaming agreements, sub-contracts, vendor service agreements, RFPs, and NDAs.
- Analyze legal, commercial, and operational risks in contracts and advise stakeholders on mitigations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to integrate domain-specific provisions in contracts.
- Collaborate within the legal team to share knowledge and improve efficiency.
- Manage and mentor team members, handle escalations, and support career progression.
- Identify innovative transformation ideas to enhance service delivery and processes.
- Provide advance warnings to senior management on potential risks.
- Lead training, mentorship, and coaching programs.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a leading university and/or law school.
- Experience in contract drafting, vetting, negotiation, and legal risk assessment.
- Proven ability to manage teams and provide leadership in a corporate legal environment.
