Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan Attorneys is hiring a Senior Associate for its Corporate and M&A team at its Nagpur office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft opinions in corporate law areas.
- Assist in drafting and markup/version control of agreements.
- Participate in due diligence exercises and prepare reports within deadlines.
- Work under senior guidance on transactions and corporate advisory matters.
- Apply analytical skills to interpret and implement legal provisions practically.
- Maintain fast turnaround time with attention to detail.
- Contribute to knowledge management by writing articles and papers.
- Support business development initiatives and maintain high professional integrity.
Eligibility
- Five-year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record.
- 3–6 years of experience in the corporate practice of a reputed law firm.
- Good knowledge of the Companies Act, FEMA, FDI, SEBI, RBI regulations, Contract Act, and the Constitution.
- Working knowledge of at least two corporate practice areas.
- Experience in handling medium-sized transactions such as joint ventures, M&A, private equity, due diligence, and agreements.
- Ability to draft opinions and reports under guidance.
- Up-to-date knowledge of case law and changing corporate regulations.
- Tech-savvy with research proficiency using global databases.
- Fluency in or interest in learning a foreign language.
