Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan attorneys is hiring a Senior Associate for its Corporate and M&A team in Nagpur. The role involves supporting corporate transactions, conducting legal research, drafting opinions and agreements, assisting in due diligence exercises, and contributing to business development activities under the guidance of senior lawyers.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and review corporate agreements, including joint ventures, M&A, private equity, and related contracts.
• Conduct due diligence and prepare reports based on checklists within limited timelines.
• Research and draft first-cut opinions on corporate law matters.
• Maintain version control and markup agreements under senior guidance.
• Stay updated on corporate law, case law, and changing regulations.
• Support business development activities and knowledge management initiatives.
• Apply analytical skills to interpret laws for practical corporate application.
• Assist in cross-border transactions, including researching global databases.

Eligibility

• Five-year law degree from a reputed university with strong academics.
• 3–6 years of experience in corporate law practice in a reputed firm.
• Knowledge of Companies Act, FEMA, FDI, SEBI, RBI regulations, Contract Act, Constitution.
• Experience in at least two corporate practice areas and medium-sized transactions.
• Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Tech-savvy, with fluency in or willingness to learn a foreign language.
• Strong communication, teamwork, integrity, and work ethic.
