Details of the Job/Internship
Convene is hiring a Corporate and HR Lawyer to join them remotely.
Role and Responsibilities
- HR Compliance & Contract Management.
- Draft, review, and ensure compliance of employment contracts, consultancy agreements, and sales commission contracts for employees and consultants across various countries.
- Stay updated with employment and labour laws across different jurisdictions, ensuring the Group's policies are aligned with current legal requirements.
- Provide guidance on employment law issues, including terminations, disciplinary actions, and employee relations.
- Corporate Legal Support.
- Support corporate governance requirements and general compliance for Azeus offices worldwide.
- Advise on a variety of corporate matters, including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams to ensure adherence to legal standards.
- Risk Management & Compliance.
- Identify potential legal risks and suggest strategies for risk mitigation.
- Ensure the Group remains compliant with evolving data protection laws, especially concerning employee data.
- Global Collaboration.
- Collaborate with Azeus offices globally to ensure consistent legal compliance.
- Coordinate with external counsel as needed for jurisdiction-specific advice.
Eligibility
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in HR/employment law, ideally within a corporate or in-house setting. Experience in IT, software, or SaaS industry is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of employment laws in various countries.
- Proficient in drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams globally.
