Details of the Job/Internship
Metalegal Advocates is hiring an Associate Partner (Corporate Law) with 8–10 years of post-qualification experience to join its Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic corporate law advisory to corporates, founders, startups, and growth-stage businesses.
- Lead mergers and acquisitions, fund raises, restructurings, and complex commercial mandates.
- Advise on company law, corporate governance, shareholder matters, board advisory, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the primary relationship manager for corporate clients and startup founders.
- Oversee drafting and review of contracts, shareholder agreements, investment documentation, board papers, policies, and legal opinions.
- Mentor and supervise associates and junior team members.
- Drive business development initiatives, client acquisition, and retention strategies.
- Collaborate with internal practice teams on cross-functional mandates.
Eligibility
- Qualified Advocate with an LL.B., enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
- 8–10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in corporate law.
- Demonstrated experience in independent client handling and advisory roles.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in high-responsibility and deadline-driven environments.
