Details of the Job/Internship
Wellversed is hiring a Corporate Legal Associate with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join their Gurgaon office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts, agreements, and business transactions.
- Liaise with external counsel to manage legal processes efficiently.
- Assist with mergers, acquisitions, business restructuring, and related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee intellectual property management, policy development, and compliance.
- Maintain accuracy and legal compliance of all documents and contracts.
- Provide timely resolution of legal queries and support closure of negotiations.
- Execute legal advice provided by senior legal counsel on corporate matters.
- Visit courts and liaise with government offices and stakeholders as required.
Eligibility
- LL.B./LL.M. from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in corporate law, contract drafting, and negotiation.
- Knowledge of mergers, acquisitions, and business restructuring is a plus.
- Familiarity with international legal compliance is preferred.
- Proficiency in legal research tools, Microsoft Office, and legal management software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
