Kamal & Co. Advocates is hiring a Corporate Compliance Assistant – Government Relations Specialist with 2–4 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Indian regulations related to government contracting, lobbying, and corporate-government interactions.
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures aligned with Indian regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits to identify potential compliance risks.
- Support the preparation of regulatory filings and documentation.
- Collaborate with legal, business, and government relations teams to address compliance issues.
- Maintain records of corporate interactions with government officials and agencies.
- Help train employees on compliance requirements and best practices.
- Research evolving regulations and provide updates.
- Assist in investigating potential compliance violations and recommend remedial actions.
Eligibility
- 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate compliance in India, with specific focus on government relations compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field from a recognized Indian university.
- Strong understanding of Indian regulatory frameworks governing corporate-government interactions.
- Knowledge of key Indian legislation such as Prevention of Corruption Act, Companies Act, and relevant industry-specific regulations.
- Experience with compliance monitoring and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably Hindi.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable guidance.
