In India, Amazon’s Legal Team plays a key role in enabling growth through regulatory compliance, innovative structuring, and legal strategy across multiple business verticals.
Details of the Job/Internship
Amazon India is hiring a Corporate Counsel with 8–12 years of experience to join its legal team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end legal support for international operations and business launches.
- Manage regulatory compliance across verticals including trade, FDI, and tax.
- Draft and negotiate complex contracts and commercial agreements.
- Resolve pre-litigation disputes and manage legal risk.
- Advise on intellectual property, IT, and product compliance issues.
- Coordinate with external counsel and global legal teams.
- Liaise with stakeholders in finance, litigation, tax, public relations, and policy.
- Lead engagement with regulatory and government authorities.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized institution
- 8–12 years of experience in corporate or commercial law.
- Expertise in cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in the e-commerce or technology sector preferred.
- Company Secretary qualification is a plus.
