Details of the Job/Internship

Fortrea is hiring a Corporate Counsel – Industry Contracts with 8+ years of experience to join their remote legal team in India.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on client and vendor-related matters in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate representation of company obligations and rights.
• Draft, negotiate, and review contracts, and participate in negotiations with vendors and site representatives.
• Counsel internal teams on disputes, performance issues, and legal risks.
• Suggest and implement improvements in contract templates and legal processes.
• Lead or support dispute resolution and claims management.
• Promote company-wide risk management policies and initiatives.
• Maintain organized knowledge management systems and shared access tools.

Eligibility

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree.
• Admitted to the bar in good standing in any jurisdiction.
• Minimum 8 years of legal experience at a reputable law firm or in-house.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in clinical development preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, and Workday.

Salary/Stipend
