Details of the Job/Internship
Aspire is hiring a Corporate Counsel with over 6 years of experience to join its legal team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide practical and strategic legal advice on commercial, corporate governance, and investment matters.
- Negotiate and manage commercial contracts and M&A transactions.
- Work with compliance and product teams to ensure adherence to corporate and commercial regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate intellectual property-related agreements, including NDAs and licensing agreements.
- Support regulatory initiatives and product launches.
- Act as the primary legal representative for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and retention.
- Create and maintain legal governance frameworks, templates, and policies.
- Draft and maintain corporate documents such as board resolutions and intercompany agreements.
- Design and execute the company’s legal strategy.
Eligibility
- Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial, investment, or IP law.
- Experience gained at a law firm and/or financial institution.
- Law graduate from a reputable university.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex regional legal matters.
- Experience in FinTech is preferred.
