Details of the Job/Internship

Fortrea is hiring a Corporate Counsel – Industry Contracts with 8+ years of experience to join their remote legal team operating from Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and advice on site and vendor agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors and research sites.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure legal compliance.
• Advise on disputes, quality issues, and performance risks.
• Recommend and implement contract policy improvements.
• Lead knowledge management and template updates.
• Support dispute resolution and claims management.
• Deliver preventive legal training and ensure contract alignment with business goals.
• Promote risk mitigation strategies and corporate policies.

Eligibility

• Juris Doctor (or equivalent) and admission to the bar in any state.
• Minimum 8 years of legal experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel.
• Strong experience in contract review and negotiation.
• Familiarity with corporate and commercial legal practices.
• Excellent communication, time management, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, and Workday.
• Clinical development industry knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work 2–11 PM IST shift (2nd shift).
