Details of the Job/Internship
Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring a Corporate Counsel with 2–5 years of experience to join its Legal team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including NDAs, vendor agreements, licensing, and service contracts.
- Support strategic transactions, including due diligence and deal execution.
- Advise business teams on legal risks, deal structures, and compliance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, HR, and Facilities.
- Assist in developing and updating contract templates and playbooks.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and communicate impacts.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives as required.
Eligibility
- LL.B degree from a recognized university (LL.M preferred).
- Eligibility to practice law in India.
- 2–5 years of PQE in transactional and commercial legal work.
- Strong experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High integrity, initiative, and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Desirable: experience in technology/semiconductors, data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), cloud contracts, AI applications in legal practice, and prior in-house counsel exposure.
