Details of the Job/Internship
NSF is seeking a Corporate Counsel with 5-7 years of experience to join their Gurugram office in a hybrid work mode.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on global business initiatives, policies, and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in managing global legal affairs, collaborating with external legal counsel as needed.
- Support corporate objectives by providing legal analysis and guidance on global projects and transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements, distributing them to NSF's global network of customers, suppliers, and independent contractors.
- Assist in intellectual property protection, licensing, and enforcement.
- Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, litigation, and dispute resolution, advising senior management on legal risks.
- Work with Quality, Compliance, and Risk teams to support and enforce corporate compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Legal Department, including the Chief Legal Officer, Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Counsel, and Legal Operations Manager, to enhance legal processes and systems.
Eligibility
- 5-7 years of legal experience, with at least two years of in-house counsel experience preferred.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school (or equivalent qualification).
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing within the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience working in a global corporate environment.
- Employment law experience preferred, including handling internal investigations.
- Strong expertise in legal agreements, labor and employment law, and business transactions.
- Proven ability to manage complex transactional matters, draft and negotiate contracts, and mitigate risks.
- Highly organized self-starter capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- High ethical standards and a commitment to legal integrity.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across teams and global geographies.
- Foreign language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
Salary/Stipend
