Details of the Job/Internship

Renesas is hiring a Legal professional with 6+ years of experience to support its expanding business operations in India.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate joint development, distribution, vendor, sales, logistics, services, IP licensing, and partnership agreements.
• Advise business teams on intellectual property, corporate governance, commercial, competition, employment, and regulatory laws.
• Collaborate with the global legal team to implement best practices in contracting, licensing, governance, and compliance.
• Support legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions, post-acquisition restructuring, and entity management.
• Assist with special legal projects across the organisation.
• Manage relationships with external law firms in India and coordinate legal services.
• Support compliance initiatives including third-party due diligence, internal investigations, and corporate governance activities.
• Assist the global export compliance team on export control regulations and trade compliance matters.
• Advise on licenses, registrations, and certifications required for business operations and liaise with relevant authorities.

Eligibility

• LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognised Indian university.
• Company Secretary qualification.
• Minimum six years of post-qualification experience in an in-house legal team or law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Indian corporate laws and compliance processes.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Salary/Stipend
