Details of the Job/Internship
Renesas is looking for a candidate for the position of Corporate Counsel.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including joint development, distribution, vendor, sales and logistics, service, IP license, partnership, and more.
- Counsel business teams on a range of legal topics, including intellectual property, corporate governance, commercial law, competition, employment law and other legal and regulatory areas.
- Collaborate with the global legal team to develop and implement best practices and policies in the areas of contracting, licensing, corporate governance, and compliance.
- Assist in legal aspects of M&A transactions, post- acquisition restructuring and entity management.
- Assist with special projects at all levels of Renesas.
- Assist with collaborations/ partnerships with universities in India to enhance the company’s brand and campus presence.
- Build and manage relationships with external law firms in India and coordinate legal services as needed.
- Support compliance initiatives in India including vendor/ third party due diligence, internal reporting and other corporate governance activities.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognized Indian university.
- Company Secretary qualification preferred.
- 3-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in an in-house legal team or law firm.
- Strong knowledge of Indian corporate laws and regulations.
- Experience in handling compliance processes.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary/Stipend
