Details of the Job/Internship

Wipro is hiring an In-House Legal Counsel with 7+ years of relevant experience (including at least 4 years in-house). The role requires supporting strategic partner engagements by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements while advising business teams on diverse legal aspects of the partner ecosystem.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including software license agreements, IT services contracts (Cloud, hosting), IP licenses, marketing agreements, ISDA contracts, property documents, treasury and finance contracts, hardware purchase/leasing agreements, staffing contracts, IT development agreements, collaboration agreements, NDAs, and bank guarantees.
• Advise business teams on legal issues impacting the partner ecosystem.
• Handle compliance issues relating to software licenses, open-source software, and SaaS, IaaS, PaaS copyright matters.
• Address legal and compliance issues in cross-border transactions, including data protection.
• Support in contract disputes, dispute resolution, and litigation matters (preferred).
• Work closely with senior leadership, providing legal advice on key business decisions.

Eligibility

• LL.B. with 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including 4+ years in-house.
• Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology and service contracts.
• Knowledge of data protection, compliance, and intellectual property laws.
• Exposure to dispute resolution/litigation (preferred).
• Excellent communication, business acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
