Details of the Job/Internship

Wellversed is hiring a Corporate Lawyer – Associate with experience of at least 1 year to join its office in Gurugram. The role involves handling corporate legal matters, drafting and negotiating contracts, supporting mergers and acquisitions and business restructuring, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with external counsel and stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating corporate contracts, agreements, and business transactions.
• Liaising with external counsel to manage and streamline legal processes.
• Assisting with mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, and related transactions.
• Ensuring compliance with corporate governance, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Overseeing intellectual property management, policy development, and compliance.
• Maintaining accuracy and legal compliance of all documents and contracts.
• Ensuring timely resolution of legal queries and successful closure of negotiations.
• Executing legal advice provided by senior legal counsel on corporate legal matters.
• Visiting courts and liaising with government offices and stakeholders on site.

Eligibility

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience in corporate law, contract drafting, and negotiation.
• Knowledge of mergers, acquisitions, and business restructuring.
• Familiarity with international legal compliance.

Salary/Stipend
