Details of the Job/Internship

Wellversed is hiring a Corporate Lawyer - Associate with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join their office in Gurgaon.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts, agreements, and business transactions.
• Liaise with external counsel to manage and streamline legal processes.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, business restructuring, and related transactions.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee intellectual property management, policy development, and compliance.
• Maintain accuracy and legal compliance of all documents and contracts.
• Ensure timely resolution of legal queries and successful closure of negotiations.
• Execute legal advice provided by senior legal counsel on corporate legal matters.
• Visit courts and liaise with government offices and relevant stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• LL.B./LL.M. from a recognised institution.
• Proven experience in corporate law, contract drafting, and negotiation.
• Knowledge of mergers, acquisitions, and business restructuring is an advantage.
• Familiarity with international legal compliance is preferred.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and resources.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, tax, intellectual property, and labour laws.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
