A reputed FMCG company is hiring a Corporate Lawyer with 2–6 years of experience to join their office in Siliguri. The company is a global leader in the FMCG industry, offering high-quality products and focusing on innovation, sustainability, and market penetration, while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on corporate governance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Advise on M&A, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including supply, distribution, manufacturing, and commercial leases.
• Collaborate with the compliance team on laws governing advertising, labeling, and product claims.
• Monitor and advise on intellectual property rights including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
• Provide guidance on consumer protection, data privacy, and product-related legal issues.
• Support HR with employment law matters such as contracts, terminations, and disputes.
• Liaise with external legal firms and manage legal budgets.
• Assist in developing internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Stay updated with changes in corporate and FMCG laws.

Eligibility

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a reputable institution. 2–6 years of experience as a Corporate Lawyer, preferably in the FMCG or consumer goods sector.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), commercial contracts, intellectual property, and FMCG-specific regulations such as advertising, food safety, and labeling.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically and offer practical legal solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Salary/Stipend
