While Corporate Laws, Transaction Advisory, Civil Dispute Resolution, Arbitrations, and Civil Litigation are under the banner of Lexstone Chambers, Lexstone & Wheaton Law Chambers is a specialized arm in Criminal Litigation & White-Collar Investigations.
Details of the Job/Internship
Lexstone Group is hiring a corporate lawyer to join them in Gurugram office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Advise clients on corporate transactions, business structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis.
- Represent clients in court and before regulatory authorities as needed.
- Negotiate with opposing parties and resolve disputes effectively.
- Provide strategic legal advice on matters such as mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring.
- Handle legal documentation and compliance under applicable laws and regulations.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Licensed to practice law in India.
- Additional qualifications such as CS or CA will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in Corporate Law.
- Experience in criminal litigation and white-collar investigations is a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Laws, including the Companies Act, LLP Act, and Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
- Familiarity with legal aspects of FEMA, such as FDI, ODI, remittances, and compliance.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, including shareholder agreements, share purchase agreements, and business transfer agreements.
