Details of the Job/Internship
Propelld is hiring for the position of Corporate Lawyer to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Proficiently drafting, reviewing, and revising corporate agreements and other documents, including but not limited to borrowing/debt-related agreements/documents, Co-lending agreements, DA and Securitization transactions, MSAs, NDAs.
- Skillfully negotiating to secure favorable terms and mitigate legal risks. Communicate legal implications and risks effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring seamless contract execution across various teams within the organization.
- Maintaining meticulous records of all executed agreements.
- Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting business. Ensure compliance with legal requirements relevant to business. Conduct research on legal issues concerning relevant subjects, emerging trends, and best practices. Prepare reports and opinions to inform decision-making processes.
- Drafting notices, reply of notices, criminal complaints, handling and resolving customer escalations in coordination with internal teams.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable institution.
- 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating intricate agreements; corporate law. Prior experience in a similar role within an NBFC or FinTech setting would be preferred.
- A strong legal background with a deep understanding of relevant legal nuances including corporate and commercial law.
- Experience with co-lending transactions, DA transactions, securitization transactions, SaaS agreements, compliances with respect to NBFCs, FinTech regulations, borrowing transactions, and ancillary documents.
- Excellent drafting and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- The ability to simplify complex legal issues for effective communication.
- A diligent work ethic, collaborative team spirit, and a keen desire for continuous learning.
