The Golden State Capital is hiring a Corporate Lawyer to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal Support for Renewable Energy Projects:
- Draft and review contracts related to renewable energy projects (e.g., power purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, construction contracts, supply agreements).
- Provide legal counsel on land acquisition, project financing, and environmental regulations related to energy projects.
Corporate Governance & Compliance:
- Assist in ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements, regulatory filings, and internal policies.
- Advise on corporate structure, shareholder agreements, and internal legal processes.
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):
- Support due diligence processes in mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Draft and review transaction documents such as purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other corporate documentation.
Legal Research and Advice:
- Conduct legal research on energy laws, regulations, and market trends affecting the renewable energy sector.
- Provide legal advice on the implications of laws and regulations in emerging renewable energy markets.
Dispute Resolution and Litigation:
- Assist with dispute resolution efforts, including mediation and litigation related to corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters.
- Coordinate with external counsel on litigation matters when required.
Eligibility
- Fresh graduate with a law degree from a premier institute (LLB, LLM, or equivalent).
- Strong academic background with a keen interest in corporate law and renewable energy.
- Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
Desired Skills:
- Interest or prior knowledge in renewable energy law, environmental law, or energy regulations.
- Familiarity with international renewable energy agreements, financing structures, or public-private partnerships.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
