Details of the Job/Internship
Unimarks Legal is hiring an Associate Advocate with 5–7 years of litigation experience to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent clients before Civil Courts, Criminal Courts, DRT, Consumer Forums, and other judicial or quasi-judicial bodies.
- Manage litigation end-to-end, including drafting, filing, preparation, and arguments.
- Draft pleadings, petitions, complaints, affidavits, rejoinders, written statements, and other documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and case strategies.
- Communicate with clients and provide case updates and legal advice.
- Ensure timely case filing, compliance, and management.
- Coordinate with senior advocates and colleagues for effective case resolution.
Eligibility
- LL.B / LL.M from a recognised university.
- Enrolment with the Bar Council and licence to practise.
- 5–7 years of litigation experience in civil, criminal, DRT, and consumer matters.
- Strong drafting, research, and advocacy skills.
- Effective communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
