Details of the Job/Internship
Worivo Advisors is hiring a skilled Corporate Lawyer with expertise in contract vetting, drafting, dispute resolution, and negotiation. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in handling legal contracts, mitigating risks, and effectively resolving disputes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft precise, well-structured contracts that protect the company’s interests while ensuring legal compliance.
- Assist in handling legal disputes, including contract breaches and other business conflicts.
- Review, analyse and vet various contracts including commercial agreements, service agreements, NDAs, MOUs, and other legal documents.
- Negotiate terms with stakeholders, counterparties, and legal representatives to ensure favourable outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance regulations, company law, compliance frameworks.
- Ensuring compliance with Legal Metrology Act 2009 including product labelling, packaged commodities and weights and measures regulations.
- Oversee regulatory compliance, including filings, approvals, and risk assessment.
- Provide legal advice and support in dispute resolution proceedings, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation if required.
- Identify potential risks in contacts and suggest necessary modifications.
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Eligibility
- LLB degree
- 2 years previous year experince
- Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Proficient in drafting and negotiation skills.
- Prior experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
