Details of the Job/Internship
Yaclass Tech Pvt. Ltd. is hiring an In-House Corporate Legal Counsel with over 3 years of post-qualification experience to join their team in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Labour & HR Legal:
- Design and implement employment lifecycle processes, including offers, onboarding, probation, exits, and settlements.
- Draft and maintain HR-related templates such as offer letters, employment/consulting agreements, NDAs, and MSAs.
- Develop and roll out HR policies, including Code of Conduct, POSH, Leave, IT, and Whistleblower policies.
- Advise HR and management on day-to-day employment matters.
- Liaise with labour authorities and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Corporate Governance & Secretarial:
- Assist in drafting and maintaining corporate documents such as MoA, AoA, SHA, and ESOPs.
- Maintain statutory registers, minute books, and corporate records.
- Prepare board and shareholder resolutions and coordinate with auditors and chartered accountants.
- Commercial & Daily Business:
- Advise on legal aspects of marketing, sales, and product initiatives.
- Draft and review partnership contracts, rental, and commercial agreements.
- Advantageous Experience:
- Data Protection:
- Draft and review terms, consents, and notices under India’s DPDP Act, 2023.
- Maintain data protection policies and respond to customer claims.
- Consumer Protection:
- Draft product-related legal documents and advise on customer issues.
- Review and respond to consumer claims in line with company policy.
- Intellectual Property:
- Assist in trademark registration and manage IP-related documentation.
- Draft IP clauses, assignments, and licensing agreements ensuring proper ownership.
Eligibility
- Education: LL.B (mandatory); LL.M/Company Secretary or diploma in Labour Law/Data Protection preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in Labour Law, Corporate Governance, and Commercial Law.
- Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property, Data Protection, and Consumer Protection laws.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in English; Tamil and Hindi preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
