Details of the Job/Internship

S-squad Global is hiring for the position of Corporate Legal Counsel ( IT Agreements)  with 5 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and strategic partnerships.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, such as software licensing agreements, partnership agreements, NDAs, and other commercial documents.
• Ensure compliance with global legal and regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific regulations.
• Advise on intellectual property matters (trademarks, patents, copyrights) and oversee filings and enforcement as necessary.
• Guide the development and maintenance of internal policies for corporate compliance, ethics, and risk management.
• Conduct thorough legal research to monitor changes in legislation, regulatory frameworks, and emerging legal trends.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as R&D, Sales, Marketing, and HR to ensure legal alignment with business initiatives.
• Address employment law matters, including drafting employment contracts and managing dispute resolution.
• Coordinate with and manage external legal counsel and liaise with regulatory authorities when required.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs to promote legal awareness and risk mitigation across the organization.
• Ensure company-wide compliance with applicable ISO standards and recommend procedural adjustments in line with evolving regulations.

Eligibility

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in the technology or software sector.
• Strong expertise in intellectual property, data privacy, and contract law.
• Working knowledge of corporate law under English Law is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory frameworks is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CISSP) are advantageous.
