EaseMyTrip commenced its operations in 2008 by focusing on the B2B2C (business to business to customer) distribution channel and providing travel agents access to its website to book domestic travel airline tickets in order to cater to the offline travel market in India. 

Details of the Job/Internship

EaseMyTrip is hiring for the position of Corporate Legal Counsel with 2 years of experience to join their office in Delhi. 

Role and Responsibilities

Contract Drafting and Review:

• Draft, review, and maintain templates for various commercial agreements, including:
• Vendor Agreements
• Service Contracts
• Business Agreements
• Product License Agreements
• Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
• Letters of Intent
• Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
• Teaming Agreements
• Reseller Agreements
• Master Services Agreements

2. Contract Negotiation:

• Lead negotiations with external attorneys to finalize legal documentation associated with commercial contracts.

3. Legal Document Management:

• Oversee the management, maintenance, and organization of all legal agreements and relevant documents within the legal department.

4. Legal Advisory:

• Provide well-researched legal advice on business laws, regulatory matters, and contract-related issues.

5. Compliance Oversight:

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations to mitigate legal risks.

6. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR):

• Collaborate with product teams to identify patentable innovations, conduct infringement studies, and handle trademark applications.

7. Template Management:

• Develop and update standard legal templates to streamline contract creation processes.

8. Legal Research:

• Conduct in-depth legal research to support contract negotiations and corporate legal matters.

9. Training and Development:

• Train and mentor junior legal staff and other departments on relevant legal issues and compliance requirements.

10. Strategic Legal Counseling:

• Advise senior management on business strategies, legal implications, and risk mitigation.

Eligibility

Educational Qualifications:

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
• Additional qualifications in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) or related legal fields are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal counsel, preferably in a global services organization.

Contract Law Expertise:

• Strong understanding of US and international contract law, with proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements.

Technical Proficiency:

• Skilled in using Microsoft Word for contract review and drafting.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate legal issues.
