Subsequently, leveraging its B2B2C channel, the company entered the B2C (business to customer) segment in 2011, primarily addressing the travel requirements of the growing Indian middle-class population.

Details of the Job/Internship

EaseMyTrip.com is hiring a Corporate Legal Counsel with a minimum of two years of experience to work remotely. The role involves overseeing the company’s legal functions with a focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, managing intellectual property rights, and providing strategic legal advice. The position also requires conducting legal research, maintaining contract templates, and supporting the organisation’s legal and regulatory obligations in the travel industry.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, vet, and maintain templates for commercial contracts including vendor agreements, service contracts, business agreements, product licence agreements, MOUs, letters of intent, NDAs, teaming agreements, reseller agreements, and master services agreements.
• Negotiate contracts and coordinate with attorneys to finalise legal documentation.
• Manage and administer all legal agreements and related legal documents.
• Provide researched legal advice on various business laws.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with product teams on intellectual property matters, including identifying patentable ideas, conducting patent searches and infringement studies, and drafting trademark applications.
• Create, update, and manage standard legal document templates.
• Conduct legal research to support corporate legal matters and contract negotiations.
• Train and mentor junior legal staff and other departments on legal and compliance issues.
• Provide strategic legal counselling to senior management on business strategies and their legal implications.

Eligibility

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in law.
• Additional qualifications in intellectual property rights or related laws are preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a legal counsel role, preferably in a global services organisation.
• Familiarity with US and international contract law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including standard and advanced features.
• Strong command of English with effective communication skills.
• Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
