Details of the Job/Internship
NewSpace Research and Technologies is hiring for the position of Corporate Legal Counsel to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal Advice and Counselling:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate legal matters to management, departments, and business units.
- Interpret laws, regulations, and corporate policies to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Advise on contract negotiations, strategic initiatives, and potential legal implications.
Contract Drafting And Review:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, customer contracts, licensing agreements, and employment contracts.
- Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements, protect the company's interests, and align with business objectives.
Compliance And Risk Management:
- Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to identify and assess legal risks and propose risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations.
Corporate Governance:
- Assist in corporate governance matters, including the preparation of board resolutions, minutes, and other corporate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and best practices.
Litigation And Dispute Resolution:
- Collaborate with external counsel in managing litigation and dispute resolution processes.
- Assist in the preparation of legal strategies, responses to legal claims, and other legal documents.
Training And Education:
- Conduct training sessions for employees on legal topics, corporate policies, and compliance matters.
- Raise legal awareness across the organization and provide guidance on legal and ethical standards.
External Engagement:
- Interact with external stakeholders, such as regulators, government agencies, and external counsel.
- Manage relationships with external legal service providers and ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal support.
Eligibility
- Masters / Bachelor’s degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven experience working as a corporate legal counsel or in a similar legal role within a corporation or law firm.
