Details of the Job/Internship

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to technology products and services, such as software as a service (SaaS) agreements, partnership or reseller agreements, and technology related commercial transactions.
• Provide legal support for a wide array of internal teams including Compliance, IT, Product, Sales, Finance, Marketing and Office of CEO; engage with stakeholders to manage legal elements of product and services evolution and offerings.
• Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the company’s legal processes  and including commercial licensing, vendor contracting, consultant contracting and employee-related processes.
• Assist in maintaining compliance around CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, and other privacy regulations. 
• Support the Compliance Team in maintaining PubNub’s ISO:27001 and SOC 2 Type II certifications to ensure that legal and security standards are continually met and maintained.

• Excellent writing, oral communication, and strong organizational skills; proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
• Support sales teams and external procurement teams to facilitate and close technology deals.

• Demonstrated ability to learn new areas of law and adapt to evolving technologies; stays up-to-date on relevant laws and industry standards.
