Details of the Job/Internship

Rapsap Superstores is hiring a Corporate Legal Counsel with experience of 3–5 years to join their office in Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The position is a full-time hybrid role based in Thane, Maharashtra, offering competitive compensation as per experience. The role involves working closely with founders and leadership to ensure agreements, compliance, and legal frameworks are professionally and strategically structured.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating rental or lease agreements, vendor contracts, franchise agreements, MOUs, employment contracts, NDAs, and service agreements.
• Handling trademark filings, IP protection, and brand registrations.
• Ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance across operations.
• Representing the company in legal matters and disputes if required.
• Coordinating with external law firms and advisors when needed.
• Maintaining centralised legal documentation and contract repository.
• Advising leadership on risk, liability, and governance matters.
• Supporting fundraising documentation and investor agreements.

Eligibility

• 3–5 years of experience in corporate law, startup law, or commercial contracts.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience handling lease agreements and commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of company law, contract law, and IP law.
• Comfortable working in a fast-scaling business environment.
• Ability to independently manage legal functions.
• Experience in retail, real estate, franchising, or consumer businesses preferred.
• Prior in-house counsel experience preferred.
• Exposure to startup ecosystem or fundraising documentation.
