Details of the Job/Internship
Sugar.fit is hiring a Corporate Legal Counsel with 4–7 years of experience to manage the company’s legal and compliance functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal strategy and risk-mitigated advice to leadership.
- Structure and negotiate legal frameworks for business expansion, including vendor, supply chain, and partnerships.
- Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle across multiple functions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, FEMA, data privacy, consumer protection, and FSSAI regulations.
- Advise on telemedicine and digital health compliance and regulatory approvals.
- Support fundraising, investments, and corporate structuring.
- Oversee corporate governance and board-related matters.
- Manage litigation, disputes, consumer complaints, and regulatory notices.
- Strengthen intellectual property portfolio, including trademark protection.
- Develop and maintain legal MIS and compliance tracking systems.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognized law school (LL.M. preferred).
- 4–7 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a startup, health-tech company, or law firm.
- Strong knowledge of corporate laws, data privacy, FEMA, and healthcare regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Business-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
