Details of the Job/Internship

SugarFit is hiring a Corporate Legal Counsel with 4–7 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. The role focuses on managing the company’s overall legal functions, ensuring regulatory compliance within the healthcare sector, and providing business-oriented legal solutions. It involves proactive risk management, responsive legal action, and handling the legal requirements of a technology-driven healthcare organisation.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, agreements, terms and conditions, and privacy policies.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to healthcare, data protection, and medical devices.
• Manage disputes, pre-litigation, and litigation matters, including arbitration, and coordinate with external counsels when required.
• Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to management and internal teams on the legal implications of business decisions and transactions.
• Oversee intellectual property matters, including trademark and patent registrations.
• Ensure adherence to sound corporate governance practices.
• Review and update internal policies to align with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Identify legal risks, assess their impact, and implement mitigation measures and procedures.

Eligibility

• 4–7 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal environment or law firm, preferably in online consultation or the healthcare industry.
• Strong understanding of corporate laws, contract law, data protection regulations, and laws applicable to the healthcare sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, critical thinking, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work with integrity and responsibility on complex and sensitive matters.

Salary/Stipend
