Details of the Job/Internship
They are looking for corporate legal managers, knowledgeable in the technology and energy sector, to provide support to Statiq and its businesses in the EV charging space. To succeed in this role, candidates should be self-motivated, and enthusiastic about technology, climate, and sustainability. Candidate should also excel in working in a fast-paced dynamic company that thrives on innovation. This is a highly collaborative role, and the successful candidate will work closely with departmental heads across the business in addressing potential legal issues that heighten legal risks to the business while advising and offering legally compliant solutions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and other legal documents ensuring that the company’s interest is protected.
- Assess the scope of work, business processes, service levels, and commercial and legal aspects of contracts for potential exposure to liability risks arising from the use of proprietary data, trademarks, IP, data security and non-standard terms and conditions.
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties including charging hosts, clients, real estate partners, and external counsels.
- Actively engage with tech teams to identify potential Intellectual Property and work with external law firms to get these registered.
- Assisting the secretarial team during board meetings, committees, and annual general meetings (AGMs) and follow up on action points.
- Ensure policies, and regulatory, or statutory changes that might affect the organization are up to date and approved by the committee.
Eligibility
- LLB from a reputed college with a minimum of three (3) years PQE in handling legal matters in an organization in the start-up or technology sector.
- Demonstrated skill in effectively communicating (verbal and written) results to a diverse audience; ability to work within a cross-functional team to achieve common goals.
- High-quality drafting skills and the ability to ensure attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently on matters in a matrixed organization
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and respond to business needs and goals, and escalate issues timely and appropriately.
