Details of the Job/Internship
Genrobotics is looking for a candidate for the position of Corporate Legal Officer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join them at their office in Thiruvananthapuram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies across the organization.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks in business operations and transactions through proactive strategies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts (vendor, supplier, partnership agreements, etc.) to secure favorable terms and minimize legal risks.
- Ensure seamless contract execution across various teams within the organization.
- Review and verify the legal validity of official documents, such as Employment Offer Letters, Employment Contracts and Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Intellectual Property (IP) Agreements and Other legal or official documents as required.
- Skillfully negotiate terms to secure favourable outcomes and mitigate legal risks.
- Effectively communicate legal implications, risks, and solutions to internal stakeholders.
- Draft notices, reply to notices, and prepare criminal and civil complaints as required.
- Handle and resolve client escalations in coordination with internal teams.
- Oversee litigation matters, including dispute resolution, court representation, and coordination with external legal counsel.
- Develop and implement strategies for intellectual property protection and enforcement.
- Manage the company’s IP portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Advise on governance matters, including board policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Eligibility
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB);
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, litigation, and legal advisory roles, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Certifications: Membership in a legal association or bar council is a must.
- Legal Expertise: In-depth knowledge of corporate, contract, employment, and intellectual property law, as well as litigation and compliance requirements.
- Negotiation and Communication: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to clearly communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Litigation and Escalation Handling: Proven experience managing legal disputes, drafting notices, and resolving client escalations effectively.
