Details of the Job/Internship

Boston Institute of Analytics is hiring a Corporate Litigation Lawyer on a freelance basis with 5–10 years of experience to manage civil and commercial litigation, with a primary focus on franchise agreements, franchise disputes and contractual enforcement. The role involves handling complex legal issues related to business partnerships, brand protection and commercial recovery.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle franchise and commercial litigation arising from franchise agreements, including breach, non-performance, brand misuse, royalty recovery and termination disputes.
• Draft, review and negotiate franchise agreements, NDAs, MOUs and licensing contracts.
• Represent the organisation in civil suits, injunction matters and arbitration proceedings.
• Advise management on legal structuring and risk mitigation related to franchise expansion and compliance.
• Manage civil recovery suits, defamation claims, contractual breaches and injunction matters before courts.
• Draft and vet pleadings, affidavits, applications and other litigation documents.
• Handle execution petitions, recovery proceedings and enforcement of decrees.
• Liaise with external counsel, clients and law enforcement authorities.
• Draft legal notices, replies, demand letters and settlement terms.
• Conduct legal research and maintain internal litigation and strategy documentation.
• Provide advisory support on contract compliance, franchise operations and partner management.
• Review marketing and communication material for defamation and IP risks.
• Maintain litigation trackers, legal dashboards and case records.
• Assist internal teams on legal escalations and dispute resolution.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognised law school, with LL.M. preferred.
• Licence to practise law in India, with a valid Sanad.
• 5–10 years of litigation experience, including exposure to franchise, corporate or commercial disputes.
• Strong drafting and advocacy skills with the ability to independently manage matters before district courts, high courts, NCLT and arbitration forums.
• Proficiency in legal research tools.
• Excellent command of English and legal writing.
• Availability for freelance or retainer-based engagement.

Salary/Stipend
